Men’s Senior, Veteran and Vintage Club Championships

The showers cleared for a glorious February morning for the Men’s finals of the 2019 Senior, Veteran and Vintage Championships on Sunday 3 February.

Marshall Leigh played Senior Pennant team mate Steve Allerton in the final, which was always going to be a high quality match.  Marshall played solid golf to run out a 4 and 2 winner.

In the Veteran’s final, Cliff Hoyle played Gary Simmons. Cliff fought back from an early deficit to be all square after nine holes. Gary proved to be too strong with a 3 and 2 victory.

In the Vintage final good friends John Hodgetts and Angelo Siokos were playing for bragging rights for 2019. Angelo was five up through 12 holes before John made a nice charge with three straight wins.  In the end, Angelo was too good sinking some fantastic putts to be a 2 and 1 winner.

Congratulations to all winners and a special mention to referees Paul Smerdon and David Vosloo.
