The Club is proud to have over 30 years of Club history of Major Event and Honour Board winners. In addition to being displayed on boards around the Clubhouse, this information is now available on the Club’s website and app. To view the winners on the app, open the app and click on the icon on the bottom right of the home screen.
A friendly reminder that 2020 Membership Subscriptions were due and payable on Wednesday 1 January 2020. Please note the Club’s new NAB bank account details on your December invoice. For Members that have selected direct debit, your payment was processed on this date. The 2020 Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club buggy stickers are available for collection from Member Services once your fees are up to date.
As per the Club’s By-Laws, all statements rendered for charges by the Company shall be due and payable by the 15th day of the month. Accounts unpaid after this date will be considered delinquent. Members will be unable to charge to their account and will receive a Default Account Notice notifying them of their suspended membership until outstanding fees have been paid.
The golf facilities can only be accessed after fees have been paid and your 2020 Member buggy sticker is displayed.
On Monday 6 January 2020, The Palms golf course closed for its annual grooming period. This process has taken the Golf Course Maintenance team five days to complete, with a reopening date of tomorrow, Saturday 11 January 2020.
We appreciate your patience shown during this time.
While The Palms golf course was closed this week for renovation, the Club’s Golf Course Maintenance Team made improvements to the 4th hole.
The works included but were not limited to:
These improvements are expected to be completed by Monday 13 January 2020 and will take a further three weeks for the newly laid turf to knit in.
During this time the 4th hole will be played as a par 4.
The Club’s first Social Sunday event for 2020 will be held this Sunday 12 January 2020 and is a 4BBB stableford. This event is also a Members’ guest day. Each Member is invited to bring one complimentary guest for the day with a $12 competition fee being the only payment required.
The event will be followed by the Sunday Night Roast as well as the Weekly Members’ Draw.
Bookings can now be made for the 2020 Ladies’ Opening Day on Thursday 16 January 2020. This day is always a fun day and a great way to start the golfing year.

Celebrate Australia Day 2020 at the Club with golf on The Pines golf course followed by our Australia Day themed Sunday Night Roast in Lakeview Bar.
The Australia vs The Rest of the World Challenge is a 2-person ambrose and we invite you to dress up and represent your team on this fun-filled day.
Our Australian Day themed roast includes mini truffles, pavlova, lamingtons and chocolate crackles.

Members and their guests who opted not to play in the Australia Day event can still enjoy our themed Sunday Night Roast for $30 per person.
The Pines golf course irrigation project has recommenced after the Christmas and New Year break with the installation of the main line on the driving range, turfing around the sprinkler heads and valve boxes on hole 18 and completion of the defects on hole 17. The driving range has been closed for these works and is expected to reopen on Wednesday 15 January 2020.
Next week will see the completion of two path crossings on hole 11 and on the driving range and the install of the main line on hole 11. It is also expected that defects on holes 17 and 18 will be complete.
As of Sunday 5 January 2020, the price of the Club’s Sunday Night Roast increased to $30 per person.
The Club’s Sunday Night Roast includes your choice of roast pork, roast beef or roast chicken as well as delicious roasted vegetables. In addition to roast meat and vegetables, the price includes fresh soup and a full dessert buffet.

The Members drawn in last week’s draw were Mr Graham Stanton and Mrs Sheryl Gardner. Mr Stanton and Mrs Gardner were not present; therefore this week’s draw value will jackpot to $2,400 Club Credit.
