Friday 27 March 2020
The Club has communicated via email to Members on several occasions over the past week to keep Members up to date with the ever evolving coronoavirus and the effect on the Club, golf courses and operations. Each of these updates is copied onto the Members’ News page of the Club’s website. To view, login to the Members’ section of the website and click on the Members’ News tab. All future communications and updates will continue to be posted there as well.
The Club has been working closely with MiClub to bring forward the trial date to a mobile scoring app to assist with hygiene during these difficult times. This app will alleviate the need for players to use paper scorecards and allow Members to use their mobile devices for scoring. MiScore App is a purpose-built app and will be available for Members to use during competition play from Friday 27 March 2020.
To download the app, click here. Prior to attempting to download the app, ensure that your phone is fully charged to prevent any download interruptions.
Instructions regarding how to use the app can be viewed by clicking here.
Your login details are the same as the login details you use to access the Members’ section of the Club’s website. To start scoring, you will need to be registered in a competition on the day.
As the MiScore App uses the GPS in your phone to measure distance to the centre of the green, it can use up a larger than usual amount of battery power. Below are some tips on how to save battery power while using this app:
If any Members have feedback after using the new scoring app, please email Ryan Gailey.
The Club has ceased issuing birthday vouchers while the food and beverage outlets are not operating. Once the outlets reopen, all outstanding birthday vouchers will be issued digitally to Members’ email addresses. Existing vouchers will have days added to their validity equivalent to the number of days that the food and beverage outlets were closed.
The Match and Greens Committee recently suggested changes to the Rules Relating to Golf which the Board has approved.
Please see below changes which are in effect immediately. Please ensure the golf cart rules are followed at all times.

(n) If a group wishes to take 3 golf carts, approval must be given by the Golf Operations Manager.
(h) Golf carts must be operated on cart paths where provided. Golf carts shall be kept on cart paths around all tees and greens. Golf carts shall not be driven nearer than 20 metres of any green or 20 metres of any tee except on an established cart path.

Further to recent communication regarding the Club’s upgrades to its telephone system and call handling, phone line changes have been implemented.
The primary change will see all incoming telephone calls managed through Reception on +61 (7) 5699 9000 during operating hours. Centralising these calls will ensure that less enquiries are missed, particularly during peak times in Lakeview Bar and the golf shop.
Reception will address all queries as suitable, including Member golf and restaurant bookings, account enquiries, social golf bookings and others.
Your support and patience are appreciated in the introductory period of this the new system.
