\"\"<\/span>Congratulations Mitch Smith<\/h3>\n

On Tuesday 22 November at the 2022 PGA Awards Dinner featuring the Greg Norman Medal, Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club\u2019s Mitch Smith was announced the PGA Associate (Trainee) of the Year. Mitch has had an amazing year with outstanding results both academically and in tournament play. This award is a great recognition of the hard work Mitch has put in over the past three years.<\/p>\n

Mitch is only weeks away from graduating from the PGA Members Pathway Program and will be a full member of the PGA from 2023. Mitch will cap off a remarkable three years by again playing in this week\u2019s Australian PGA Championship at Royal Queensland.<\/p>\n

Congratulations Mitch on a fantastic achievement. The Club wishes you all the best this week at the Australian PGA Championship.<\/p>\n

Golf Business Advisory Services Members’ Information Evening<\/h3>\n

The Board hosted a Golf Business Advisory Services (GBAS) Members’ Information Evening on Tuesday 22 November in Lakeview Bar. Mr Jeff Blunden, the Principal of GBAS, presented a summary of the Member Survey results along with a benchmarked review of our Club’s operations. Click here<\/a> to view the presentation.<\/p>\n

Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club Election \u2013 Captain of Ladies\u2019 Golf\/Vice-Captain of Ladies\u2019 Golf 2023\/24<\/h3>\n

The election for the position of Captain of Ladies\u2019 Golf 2023\/24 is underway, with Members having received emails on Monday 21 November 2022 to cast their votes. Voting will close on Monday 28 November 2022 at 5pm AEST, and the elected Captain and Vice-Captain and Ladies\u2019 Golf 2023\/24 will be announced on Tuesday 29 November 2022.<\/p>\n

Lakeview Bar Breakfast – closed Sunday 27 November 2022<\/h3>\n

Lakeview Bar will be closed f<\/u>or breakfast this Sunday 27 November due to staffing shortages. We apologise for any inconvenience.<\/p>\n

Social Sunday \u2013 11 December 2022<\/h3>\n

The next Social Sunday event will be held on The Pines golf course on Sunday 11 December 2022 and will be the very popular Christmas Ambrose event.<\/p>\n

The day\u2019s competition is a four-person ambrose with there being a prize up for grabs on all holes.<\/p>\n

PGA Scramble<\/h3>\n

The Club will play host to the 30th<\/sup> edition of the PGA Scramble from Monday 5 December until Thursday 8 December on The Palms golf course. During the event we will be under Member-only booking restrictions and ask Members to pair up in Member-owned carts where possible, to cater for the PGA Scramble event. Whilst the event will be played on The Palms golf course, the PGA Scramble will be utilising the Golf Clubhouse and The Pines practice facilities throughout the four-day tournament.<\/p>\n

Closure of Sanctuary Cove Country Club Kids’ Club<\/h3>\n

Mulpha has advised that the Kids’ Club at Sanctuary Cove Country Club will be closed permanently from Friday the 23 December 2022. Click here<\/a> to read further details.<\/p>\n

\"\"Ladies’ Pennants Rookie Cup<\/h3>\n

On Monday 21 November, our ladies played their final round of the Women\u2019s Golf Gold Coast Rookie Cup. This event was created to encourage the participation of higher handicap players into a Pennant-style handicapped competition. These players are often new to golf and to competition play, desiring to improve their handicaps to be able to participate in the ladies\u2019 mid-week Pennant season. Congratulations to the team of Vicky Mobsby, Liz Hansen, Jane Charlton, Tracey Lowe, Kylie Wharington, Jenny Price & Stephanie Simmons. The team was supported by advisory Members who assisted with etiquette, scoring and rules; we would like to thank Margie Kilmartin, Cathy Mathieson, Chris Lynam and Jane Mullings for their involvement.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Change to the Club By-Laws<\/h3>\n

The Club Board has agreed to remove the current limit of Transition Members at the Club. The By-Laws have been updated accordingly, specifically By-Law 3.7(b) Transition Members. To view the amended By-Laws, click here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/span>Congratulations to Mrs Barbara Kerr-Graham <\/h3>\n

Congratulations to Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club Member Mrs Barbara Kerr-Graham who was the lucky winner of $4,700 Club Credit at the Members\u2019 Draw on Sunday 20 November 2022. This Sunday 27 November, the draw will reset to $1,000 and there will be one chance to find another lucky winner. In order to claim the Members\u2019 Draw, the winner must be present in Lakeview Bar at the time of the draw. If the winner is not present, the draw will jackpot to $1,100 Club Credit next week with one chance to win.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Sunday Night Roast and Members\u2019 Draw<\/h3>\n

The weekly Members\u2019 Sunday Night Roast is held on Sunday evenings from 5:30pm.<\/p>\n

The roast is $35 per person and includes a soup, a selection of traditional roast meats and vegetables and dessert.<\/p>\n

The Weekly Members\u2019 Draw will be drawn at 6:15pm. Following the Members\u2019 Draw win by Mrs Barbara Kerr-Graham on Sunday 20 November, the jackpot has now reset to $1,000 Club Credit with one chance to win.<\/p>\n
