2023 Ladies’ Opening Day<\/h3>\n

2023 has begun on a high with 125 Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club ladies joining together for the start of what looks to be another very successful year ahead for golf. Thank you to our new Captain and Vice-Captain of Ladies’ Golf, Libby Shakespeare and Jane Mullings, respectively, for their dedication in organising a wonderful day. Congratulations to all the winners of the day with special mention to Division 2 winners Debbie Ray, Janice Wright, Robyn McDonald and Jane Mullings who finished with a score of 58.375 nett holding out runners-up Judy Coote, Angela Foley, Louise Cole and Tracey Lowe on a score of 60.625 nett. Division 1 saw Coleen Moule, Gail Chell, Keiko Ishi and Louise Wolbers win with a score of 58.875 nett with the runners-up team of Marion Coy, Kylie Wharington, Chris Lynam and Laura Liebenau finishing the day with a score of 59.75 nett. Oyster and Champagne Afternoon \u2013 Sunday 15 January 2023<\/h3>\n

Celebrate at Lakeview Bar on Sunday 15 January 2023 with an afternoon of French Champagne and fresh oysters accompanied by relaxing summer sounds performed live by Paul Mulqueen. For $95, enjoy a bottle of Pommery Champagne and a dozen fresh oysters. This event is the perfect way to wind down on a warm summer afternoon!<\/p>\n

Lakeview Breakfast<\/h3>\n

Lakeview Bar will be closed for breakfast this Sunday 15 January 2023 due to ongoing staff shortages. We apologise for any inconvenience. The Club\u2019s coffee cart will be open from 7am for takeaway coffee purchases.<\/p>\n

Social Sunday \u2013 Australia Day Event<\/h3>\n

Bookings can now be made for Social Sunday on Sunday 29 January 2023. This is the Australia Day event where Members will dress up to represent Australia or the Rest of the World.<\/p>\n

\n<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Club would like to welcome Sophie Lyon who commenced employment in the Food and Beverage Department this week. Sophie joins us from her most recent role as a food and beverage and drinks cart attendant at The Grand golf course. Sophie is currently undertaking study at Griffith University in biomedical science and also has a passion for gymnastics training. Please join us in welcoming Sophie to the Club.<\/p>\n

2023 Men\u2019s Pennant \u2013 Division 1 \u2013 Expressions of Interest<\/h3>\n

The Club is looking for Members interested in representing the Club in GCDGA Division 1 pennant which begins on 19 February 2023 and runs until 2 April 2023.<\/p>\n

Any golfers with a handicap of 3.4 or less, please register your interest by putting your name on the sign-up sheet on the golf shop noticeboard. Click here<\/a> to view the draw.<\/p>\n

2023 Membership Subscriptions and Buggy Stickers<\/h3>\n

The Club would like to thank those Members who have paid their subscriptions for 2023. A reminder that the membership subscriptions for 2023 were required to be paid by 29 December 2022. Members who haven\u2019t paid their fees, please contact the Club to make payment at your earliest convenience to avoid late fees and other consequences as set out in the Club By-Laws.<\/p>\n

Members with a direct debit arrangement with the Club, as well as Members who have paid their 2023 membership subscriptions, are now invited to collect their 2023 buggy stickers from Member Services Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, excluding public holidays.<\/p>\n

As of Sunday 1 January 2023, all Members must display a 2023 buggy sticker on their buggy when accessing the golf courses.<\/p>\n

Sunday Night Roast and Members\u2019 Draw<\/h3>\n

The weekly Members\u2019 Sunday Night Roast is held on Sunday evenings from 5:30pm.<\/p>\n

The roast is $35 per person and includes a soup, a selection of traditional roast meats and vegetables and dessert.<\/p>\n

Places are strictly limited, to avoid disappointment please book by phoning 07 5699 9000.<\/p>\n

The Weekly Members\u2019 Draw will be drawn at 6:30pm. The Member drawn in the last Members\u2019 Draw was Mrs Brenda Malone. Mrs Malone was not present, therefore the amount has jackpotted to $1,500 Club Credit with one chance to win.<\/p>\n
