This challenge will see the Early Birds take on the Breakfast Club in a shotgun start at 11:45am.<\/p>\n<p>Pre-golf, Villi\u2019s Pies will be served next to the putting green, and golfers will enjoy food platters post-golf prior to the presentations in Lakeview Bar.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Date:<\/strong>&nbsp;Friday 12 May 2023<br \/>\n<strong>Time:<\/strong> 11:45am shotgun start<br \/>\n<strong>Price:<\/strong> $35 includes competition fee, pre-golf pies and post-golf food platters <br \/>\n<strong>Bookings:<\/strong>&nbsp;Bookings are now open via the online tee sheet<\/p>\n<h3>Mother&#8217;s Day Classic<\/h3>\n<p>On Sunday 14 May, Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club is getting active for breast cancer research. We&#8217;re running, walking, dressing up and fundraising to raise awareness and funds for life-saving breast cancer research projects. We&#8217;d love for you to join us!<\/p>\n<p>Every day, 57 Australians are diagnosed with breast cancer &#8211; and nine people lose their lives to it. The Club will be raising funds to support the vital work of the National Breast Cancer Foundation to improve breast cancer detection, develop new treatments, and help people with breast cancer to live longer and healthier lives. Since the Mother&#8217;s Day Classic&#8217;s inception, the 5-year survival rate&nbsp;of breast cancer patients&nbsp;has increased from 84% to 92%, thanks largely to research. However, there is still a long way to go before Australians stop losing their lives to breast cancer.<\/p>\n<p>Members and Sanctuary Cove residents are invited to join our team and get behind this wonderful cause. All participants can register to be a part of the Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club team, as well as learn more about the Foundation, by clicking <b><a title=\"https:\/\/www.mothersdayclassic.com.au\/\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mothersdayclassic.com.au\/\">here<\/a><\/b>. Once participants have registered their details and when prompted, please select &#8220;Join a Team&#8221; and enter Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club. Participants can register for either a 4km or 8km walk or run.<\/p>\n<p>To further assist in the Club&#8217;s fundraising efforts, we invite participants to purchase our fundraising supporter package for just $50. This highly anticipated event will be hosted from Sunday 25 June to Tuesday 27 June 2023. To view full event details, click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sanctuarycovegolf.com.au\/cms\/?p=61960\"><strong>here<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Ladies&#8217; 9-Hole Competition<\/h3>\n<p>The Ladies\u2019 9-hole Competitions continue to be held on Mondays, with the below dates scheduled for May:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>8 May \u2013 single stableford \u2013 The Pines golf course<\/li>\n<li>15 May \u2013 single stableford \u2013 The Pines golf course<\/li>\n<li>22 May \u2013 2-ball ambrose \u2013 The Palms golf course<\/li>\n<li>29 May \u2013 no 9-hole competition due to the 2-ball ambrose ladies&#8217; competition scheduled<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There will be a mixture of single stableford, 4BBB stableford and 2-ball ambrose events with the competition fee being $10.<\/p>\n<h3>Pace of Play &nbsp;<\/h3>\n<p>A friendly reminder to all Members and their guests regarding the Club\u2019s pace of play guidelines, as outlined below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Four hours 10 minutes (off black and blue tees for men and red tees for ladies) to complete a round of 18 holes<\/li>\n<li>Four hours (off white tees for men and yellow tees for ladies) to complete a round of 18 holes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>While the times above are a guideline as noted, the overriding focus of Members should be to keep up with the group of players in front.<\/p>\n<p>Staff and marshals have the difficult job of keeping the field moving at the appropriate pace.
