{"id":64331,"date":"2023-07-04T10:11:40","date_gmt":"2023-07-04T00:11:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sanctuarycovegolf.com.au\/cms\/?p=64331"},"modified":"2024-07-01T14:07:24","modified_gmt":"2024-07-01T04:07:24","slug":"golf-news-and-member-events-7-july-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sanctuarycovegolf.com.au\/cms\/2023\/07\/golf-news-and-member-events-7-july-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"Golf News and Member Events 7 July 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"edit\">\n<h3>Ladies&#8217; 9-Hole Competition<\/h3>\n<p>The ladies\u2019 9-hole competitions continue to be held on Mondays, with the below dates scheduled for July:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>10 July \u2013 2 Ball Ambrose \u2013 The Palms golf course<\/li>\n<li>17 July \u2013 no ladies&#8217; 9-hole competition due to scheduled events<\/li>\n<li>24 July \u2013 no ladies&#8217; 9-hole competition due to ambrose for ladies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A $10 competition fee applies per event.<\/p>\n<h3>Sanctuary Cove vs Royal Queensland Ladies Challenge&nbsp;<\/h3>\n<p>The annual Sanctuary Cove v Royal Queensland Ladies Challenge will be played at Royal Queensland on Tuesday 18 July 2023.<\/p>\n<p>The Club has arranged a bus to transfer Sanctuary Cove ladies to the event which will depart from the Club at 6am sharp. A maximum of 52 Sanctuary Cove ladies are invited to play in this event.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Date:<\/strong>&nbsp;Tuesday 18 July 2023<br \/>\n<strong>Time:<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>The bus leaves Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club at 6am, please meet at the Club&#8217;s <span data-dobid=\"hdw\">porte coch\u00e8re<\/span> by 5:45am <br \/>\n<strong>Location<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong>&nbsp;Royal Queensland <br \/>\n<strong>Event:<\/strong> Shotgun start \u2013 8am<br \/>\n<strong>Price:<\/strong> $100 including bus trip, competition fee, green fee, pre-golf tea and coffee and post-golf lunch with one beverage <strong><br \/>\nBookings:<\/strong>&nbsp;Can be made via the online tee sheet<\/p>\n<p>Please note that there is a limit of 12 golf carts available for hire on the day. These are available at an additional cost of $35 per cart. All carts must be booked by emailing <strong><a href=\"mailto:ryang@scgcc.com.au\">Ryan Gailey<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3>Ladies&#8217; Christmas in July<\/h3>\n<p>The annual Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club Ladies\u2019 Christmas in July is one of the highlights on the ladies\u2019 golfing calendar. The 2023 event will be played on Thursday 27 July 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Ladies who would like to play in this event can now register via the online tee sheet. The event of the day will be a Florida Ambrose.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Date:<\/strong>&nbsp;Thursday 27 July 2023<br \/>\n<strong>Time:<\/strong>&nbsp;8:30 am shotgun start<br \/>\n<strong>Price:<\/strong>&nbsp;$65 per person including the competition fee, pre-golf food, drink on arrival and a buffet lunch.<br \/>\n<strong>Bookings:<\/strong>&nbsp;Bookings are now open via the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sanctuarycovegolf.com.au\/\">online tee sheet<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"edit\">\n<h3>Hole 2 \u2013 The Pines Golf Course<\/h3>\n<p>Hole 2 of The Pines golf course will be closed on non-competition days when the schedule permits. This is to assist the green through the winter months due to lack of sunlight, increased shade, colder weather and reduction in soil temperature.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that hole 19 will be used on these days and the conditions of play section of the website will be updated accordingly. There will also be signage in place to inform golfers that the hole will be closed.<\/p>\n<h3>Fitting Days<\/h3>\n<p>The Club is hosting the following fitting days for Members who wish to get fitted with any new golf equipment:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cobra Fitting Day<br \/>\nDate: <\/strong>Tuesday 18 July 2023<strong><br \/>\nTime: <\/strong>9am \u2013 1pm<strong><br \/>\nBookings: <\/strong>Bookings can be made via the online tee sheet<\/p>\n<p><strong>Titleist VIP Fitting Day<\/strong> <br \/>\nPre-release for new T-Series Irons<br \/>\n<strong>Date:<\/strong> Wednesday 26 July 2023<br \/>\n<strong>Time:<\/strong> 8am \u2013 1pm<br \/>\n<strong>Bookings:<\/strong> Bookings are to be made via the golf shop staff only<\/p>\n<p><strong>TaylorMade Fitting Day<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Date:<\/strong> Friday 28 July 2023<br \/>\n<strong>Time:<\/strong> 9am \u2013 2pm<br \/>\n<strong>Bookings:<\/strong> Bookings can be made via the online tee sheet<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ping Fitting Day<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Date:<\/strong> Wednesday 30 August 2023<br \/>\n<strong>Time:<\/strong> 9am \u2013 2pm<br \/>\n<strong>Bookings:<\/strong> Bookings can be made via the online tee sheet<\/p>\n<h3>First Aid Course &#8211; Date Change for First Aid Training<\/h3>\n<p>In August 2023, the Club is holding a first aid course run by Provide First Aid, which is open to Members.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Provide First Aid<\/strong><br \/>\nProvide First Aid will equip participants with the skills and knowledge to administer first aid, basic life support and CPR in an emergency, during a five-and-half-hour session.
