“<\/span><\/span>The Golf Course Maintenance team is working hard to prepare The Pines golf course for the upcoming year. The processes they’ve undertaken, such as dethatching, scarifying, sweeping, hollow-tining, and shock-waving, are all key steps in revitalising the turf and improving the overall playing surface. Dethatching and scarifying help to remove organic material and promote healthy grass growth, while hollow-tining alleviates compaction and allows air and nutrients to penetrate the soil. Shock-waving helps with soil aeration, which is crucial for maintaining strong turf health.<\/p>\r\n

Meanwhile, the finer detailing works are underway on The Palms golf course in preparation for the upcoming Australian WPGA Championship. These adjustments and improvements will ensure that the course is in top condition for the competition, with everything from tee boxes to greens being fine-tuned to meet the high standards expected during such an event.<\/p>\r\n

Both courses are getting a lot of attention, and the favourable weather will certainly help to ensure these renovations are effective.“<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/td>\r\n

Update on the Golf Courses<\/span><\/h3>\r\n

The Golf Course Maintenance team completed the following this week on The Pines golf course:<\/p>\r\n

    \r\n\t
  • Began overall course renovations during the shutdown period<\/li>\r\n\t
  • Dethatched, aerated, and cleaned up debris on playing surfaces<\/li>\r\n\t
  • Installed Hydro-Wick drainage on holes 7, 9, 12, and 14<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n

    On The Palms golf course, the following was completed this week:<\/p>\r\n

      \r\n\t
    • Mowed the rough<\/li>\r\n\t
    • Applied herbicide to the bunkers for weeds and grass runners<\/li>\r\n\t
    • Applied fertiliser to the bunker surrounds<\/li>\r\n\t
    • Removed palm fronds from holes 10, 11, and 12<\/li>\r\n\t
    • Applied a granular fertiliser to the greens<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n

      Next week, the team plans to do the following on The Pines golf course:<\/p>\r\n

      • Continue course renovations<\/li>\r\n\t
      • Mow the rough<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n

        The Palms golf course will undergo the following:<\/p>\r\n

          \r\n\t
        • Verti-cut and dust the greens<\/li>\r\n\t
        • Continue to mow the rough<\/li>\r\n\t
        • Edge the cart paths<\/li>\r\n\t
        • Commence building a rock wall at on the hole 10 green<\/li>\r\n\t
        • Spot-trim the bunker edges<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\n\t\t
