The renovation program follows a similar process to the previous year, with several refinements designed to achieve a quicker recovery and stronger long-term results. This renovation period also includes enhancement works on hole 17, as part of the Club\u2019s broader plan to improve playability and strategic design across The Palms golf course.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">During this period, the following works are being undertaken:<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Greens<\/b><b><\/b><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li2\">The greens will be double scarified to a depth of -18mm.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li2\">They will then be shaved down to 2mm with the mowers.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li2\">The greens will be cored with slightly smaller tines than last year to support quicker recovery.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li2\">All material will be removed with the core sweeper, followed by the first of two topdressing applications.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li2\">New small tool attachments will be used to work sand into the holes, replacing the labour-intensive hand brooming process used last year.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li2\">Once the sand is in place, amendments will be incorporated into the profile to strengthen nutrient storage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Tees and Fairways<\/b><b><\/b><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li2\">The tees and fairways will be double scarified to -18mm, then cleaned and shaved down to 8mm before being topdressed.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li2\">A significant application of calcium will be applied to improve salt movement and soil aeration.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li2\">The tees will be deep tined.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li2\">The fairways will again be treated with the shockwave linear aerator, which last year delivered healthier turf and significantly improved drainage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Approaches<\/b><b><\/b><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li2\">The approaches will undergo the same process as the tees and fairways.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li2\">Two additional brooming applications will be carried out using the Ventrac machine.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li2\">The Ventrac brush has already proven effective in reducing grain on surrounds, and its use will help fast-track playability levels following renovation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\">As always, we thank members for their patience during this period of essential works.
