A reminder to all members regarding the Rules Relating to Golf for the use of golf carts under a medical certificate.<\/p>\n
The Club is aware that some members, due to chronic illness or short\u2011term disability, may find it difficult to walk distances from their golf cart, particularly around greens. The Club wishes to ensure that these members can continue to enjoy golf by providing medical certificates that grant specific privileges on the golf course.<\/p>\n
A member who believes they require the benefits of a medical certificate should obtain a letter from their doctor confirming the need, along with an estimated duration of that need, if appropriate. This letter should be presented to the Golf and Clubhouse Manager for consideration and approval or rejection by the Match Committee. The Match Committee\u2019s decision will be final.<\/p>\n
The Golf Services Department will maintain a register of all members who have been granted a medical certificate. The term of a medical certificate will be a maximum of 12 months, and members will need to reapply annually.<\/p>\n
Three months prior to expiry, the Golf Services Department will send a letter to the member requesting confirmation of the continued need for a medical certificate.<\/p>\n
The following conditions apply to the use of a medical certificate:<\/b><\/p>\n
a. The certificate is only for the use of the member to whom it is granted.
\nb. The certificate must be displayed on the windscreen of the member\u2019s golf cart.
\nc. The member\u2019s golf cart may be driven to a point no closer than 10 metres from any green.
