Unfortunately, the week has not commenced as positively as anticipated. Once again, e-bikes and scooters have gained unauthorised access to the course, resulting in damage to the greens on The Palms golf course, 1st green, and The Pines golf course, 9th green. Incidents of this nature are becoming increasingly frequent, with a similar occurrence recorded during the 2026 Australian WPGA Championship event on the tournament 11th green. While the damage is largely superficial, visible scarring is expected to remain for several weeks as the surfaces recover.<\/p>\n

Outside of this, the team has remained extremely busy progressing key weed management programs. Across The Pines golf course, winter pre-emergent and wetting agent applications have now been completed on all short-cut areas, alongside targeted post-emergent treatments on greens and collars to address sedges and small blue couch encroachment. These works will continue across both courses over the coming two months. In addition, strong progress is being made with pine bed mulching, as well as detailed works surrounding The Palms golf course greens nursery.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

This week, the maintenance team completed the following:<\/h3>\n

  • Applied foliar fertiliser to the tees on The Pines golf course<\/li>\n
  • Applied pre-emergent and wetting agent to the green aprons and fairways on The Pines golf course<\/li>\n
  • Continued Ventrac mulching of forest floors on The Pines golf course<\/li>\n
  • Spot sprayed the greens on The Pines golf course with a selective herbicide<\/li>\n
  • Finished mowing the rough on The Pines golf course and commenced mowing the rough on The Palms golf course<\/li>\n
  • Commenced bunker trimming and detailing on The Palms golf course<\/li>\n
  • Continued moving chaff piles from the 14th hole on The Pines golf course<\/li>\n
  • Applied foliar fertiliser to the tees, green aprons, and fairways on The Palms golf course<\/li>\n
  • Applied selective herbicide and aerated the south range tee on The Pines golf course<\/li>\n
  • Applied fungicide to the greens on The Palms golf course<\/li>\n
  • Ventrac mowed the tee banks on The Palms golf course<\/li>\n
  • Applied granular fertiliser and top dressed the nursery green on The Palms golf course<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • Mulching of the debris pile behind the 15th green on The Palms golf course<\/li>\n
    • Continued trimming and detailing of bunker edges on The Palms golf course<\/li>\n
    • Continued Ventrac mulching works across the forest floors on The Pines golf course<\/li>\n
    • Commencement of mowing of the rough on The Pines golf course<\/li>\n
    • Application of granular fertiliser and top dressing to the nursery green on The Palms golf course<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
