The 2021 Sanctuary Cove Easter Tournament began on Good Friday, 2 April 2021 with 151 players teeing off in the Walker Cup on The Palms golf course. Players competed in the 4-Person Ambrose event which Mr Keith Walker started in 1990. The event has continued to grow over the years with all players seeking to add their names to the Cup.

Southerly winds of up to 40km per hour greeted players for one of the Club’s marquee events. Long-term partner of the Club and the Sanctuary Cove Easter Tournament, Mercedes-Benz Gold Coast was again a valuable partner in 2021, showing its support by offering a prize car for any player who scored a hole in one on hole 11. Unfortunately, the Mercedes-Benz was not won this year.

The format on the day was well received and the team of Georgia Clarke, Kurt Thomson, Colin Cowie and Matt McNicol were crowned the Walker Cup winners with a superb score of 54.5. The evening was capped off in style with an amazing seafood buffet which was enjoyed by over 175 Members and guests.

Regrettably, due to wet weather, the Sunday Skins event was cancelled, and the Jabiru Cup has been rescheduled for play on Sunday 30 May 2021.
