The wet weather certainly did not dampen the spirits of our ladies who gathered for the Go Pink Spring Ladies’ Lunch and Fashion Parade at the Club on Friday 22 October 2021 as part of our Go Pink month. Hosted by Leigh Muirhead from 94.1FM, this event was one of the calendar events of the year. The ladies were wowed with a fashion parade bosting a number of spectacular Melbourne Cup outfits thanks to Susie McDonald from Sanctuary Resort Shoppe. The Club was honoured to hear from guest speaker Dr Carolyn Mountford from Griffith University’s Institute for Glycomics who engaged in a thoroughly interesting conversation with the audience. With entertainment from Andrew Pryor of the Ten Tenors and a delicious lunch and dessert buffet, the day had it all. Almost $2,000 was added to the Club’s fundraising tally for our Go Pink month. Thank you to all the ladies who attended and showed their support for this great cause.
