Go Pink Month Raises over $22,000

This year, the Club once again pledged its support for vital research being conducted at the Gold Coast’s Institute for Glycomics at Griffith University by raising funds throughout the month of October. The Club hosted a series of pink-themed events and promotions to coincide with national Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The month began with a sell-out event, the Think Pink Trivia night, which tested even the most seasoned trivia buffs. Our Go Pink Dress in Pink day was another stand out event that saw Members get behind the campaign and turn the Club to its brightest and best shade of pink. The Go Pink Spring Ladies’ Lunch and Fashion Parade still has our ladies talking and left a lasting impression. With Mitchell Smith’s golf clinic and the Club’s Nearest the Pin competitions, as well as our daily food and beverage promotions, all Members had the opportunity to be involved in a variety of events and promotions. The Go Pink Raffle was drawn on Sunday 31 October and the Club would like to thank all Members who purchased tickets both at the Club and online. The full list of winners can be viewed here.

The Melbourne Cup Calcutta and the rescheduled Michael Jones Golf Clinic rounded off an incredible month. A remarkable sum of $22,090.25 was raised throughout the entire month.

Along with the Club Board, management and staff, the Institute for Glycomics wishes to express its sincere gratitude and thanks to all who were involved and donated to this cause. The funds raised will go a long way in supporting ground-breaking research into breast cancer.
