The Palms – Golf Course Renovations
Renovation works on The Palms golf course recommenced this week after weather delays. Scarifying of the greens was initially hampered due to the wet conditions, however the Golf Course Maintenance team has completed the following renovation works this week:
Monday
- All greens on holes 1-18, on practice holes 19, 20 and 21 and the practice putting greens were Verti-cut and scarified
- All aprons cored and scarified
- Herbicide program in roughs started
Tuesday
- All greens on holes 1-18, on practice holes 19, 20 and 21 and the practice putting greens were hollow tined and cleaned up
- Herbicide program continued
- Commenced coring and scarifying of tee tops
- Continued slicing (aerating) fairways
Wednesday
- Applied all amendments (e.g. gypsum) to greens
- Completed work on tees and cleaned up
- Continued herbicide program in roughs
- Continued slicing (aerating) fairways
Thursday
- Continued slicing (aerating) fairways
- Applied all amendments to tees
- Top dressed greens and rubbed in
Friday
- Started top dressing tees
- Continue slicing (aerating) fairways
- General clean-up of greens and surrounds
