The Match Committee has completed a review of The Palms golf course hole indexes for both the men and ladies. This was completed using data from over 14,700 rounds for the men and 5,500 rounds for the ladies played over the last 11 years. As a result of the review, The Palms golf course has new indexes which will be effective from Saturday 5 February 2022.
A comprehensive statistical method was used during this process with assistance of the team from Golf Australia. The Club will also adopt the even distribution of handicap strokes across the front and back nine. The allocation of second and third strokes per hole will be in line with the first 18 indexes. For example, index 1 hole will also be index 19 and index 37.
Please note our social scorecards will continue to have the old indexes displayed but all new indexes will be displayed on competition scorecards and on the MiScore app.
