On Sunday 22 January, the Club welcomed the finalists for the 2023 Men’s Senior, Veteran and Vintage Final. All matches were guaranteed to be close, and each event was hotly contested. Congratulations to the following winners:
Senior:
Paul Kernaghan defeated Marshall Leigh 19th hole
Veteran:
Greg Duguid defeated Peter Hay 6 & 5
Vintage:
Raymond Smith defeated Gary Simmons 5 & 3

Smartstone will be onsite to complete the resurfacing and tiling in front of the golf shop entrance on Monday 30 January, Tuesday 31 January and Wednesday 1 February. We ask all Members to enter the golf shop and Clubhouse via the locker room entrance for these three days. Golfers are welcome to check in to their tee times via the bag drop that is available until 12:30pm daily or on the putting green with the starter on Competition Days. Limited food and beverages will be available from the Club’s coffee cart between 6:30am and 4:30pm while the works are underway.
Lakeview Bar will be open for breakfast from 8am this Sunday 29 January 2023. Bookings are strongly recommended and can be made by phoning 07 5699 9000.
The Match Committee has made changes to the Ladies’ Monthly Medal on both The Pines and The Palms golf courses.
Commencing in February on The Pines golf course, ladies will no longer be required to play in their stipulated grades. The tee sheets have been amended accordingly and bookings can be made online.
For ladies not wishing to play a stroke event, an optional Single Stableford event is being introduced for both courses’ Monthly Medal competitions. On The Pines golf course this competition will be played from the red tees, and on The Palms golf course it will be played from the white tees.
The Club has decided to introduce optional competitions on the Sundays where a Social Sunday event is not scheduled.
These competitions will be a Medley Single Stableford. Below is the list of the first events scheduled:
After Member feedback and reviews, the Club has made a decision to change the coffee bean blend on offer to Members.
The Club is now serving Paper Moon coffee blend. While offering a bold yet smooth flavour, Paper Moon has a pleasant finish that we hope Members will enjoy.
As a special introductory offer, the Club will be offering all Members the opportunity to try the new coffee blend for just $3.5 for a small coffee and $4.5 for a large. Specialty milks and syrups will incur the standard additional charges. This offer will be valid daily until Wednesday 15 February 2023.
A reminder to Members that the Club’s coffee cart has now resumed trade and will be open to Members and residents as below:
A reminder to all Members that as of Sunday 1 January 2023, all Members must display a 2023 buggy sticker on their buggy when accessing the golf courses. 2023 buggy stickers can be collected from Member Services Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, excluding public holidays.
The weekly Members’ Sunday Night Roast is held on Sunday evenings from 5:30pm.
The roast is $35 per person and includes a soup, a selection of traditional roast meats and vegetables and dessert.
Places are strictly limited, to avoid disappointment please book by phoning 07 5699 9000.
The Weekly Members’ Draw will be drawn at 6:30pm. The Member drawn in the last Members’ Draw was Mr Richard Chai and Mr Doug Burgin. Mr Chai and Mr Burgin were not present, therefore the amount has jackpotted to $1,700 Club Credit with two chances to win.
