You are invited – Staff Recognition Event

For our staff recognition, the Club is honouring and acknowledging employees’ outstanding achievements and contributions through a quarterly event to say Thank You. 

This staff recognition initiative is our way to personally recognise staff who have performed outstanding work during the previous months and to acknowledge years of service at the Club.

For the Employee of the Quarter award, nominations have been put forward by our management team. From these nominations, one staff member will be selected to be presented with the Employee of the Quarter award and will receive a special gift at a get-together. Should you wish to nominate a staff member for this award, please put forward your nomination through your department manager.   

Please join your department manager and your fellow staff members to acknowledge, celebrate and support each other and to thank you for your dedication. As an additional thank you, we will be entering all attendees into a lucky door prize with movie tickets up for grabs.

Employee of the Quarter Award Nominees

As a positive acknowledgement of hard work and outstanding performance, our nominees for the Employee of the Quarter are:

 

Harry McLean

Harry has a great attitude and is always happy to help. He regularly asks if he can do anything for you, if anything needs to be taken downstairs, if orders need to be taken out front. Harry has also put his hand up for extra shifts FOH. He’s genuinely a pleasant staff member to be around.

Brett Swain

Brett has been a solid presence in the kitchen who always comes to work with a great attitude. He is always happy to come in or stay back when needed and brings a positive energy to the department. Brett takes new staff under his wing and helps them along, while always willing to do any task you ask of him.

Margaret Harper

Margaret is consistently stoic, always staunch. In Merriden and Tammy’s absences Margaret really held the team together through some very stressful days. She communicates well with the BOH team and constantly has her eye on the ball. She has a strong attention to detail and is pro-active in identifying potential operational issues.

Ashleigh Blacksell

Ashleigh is responsible for retail in the golf shop and has led the team to enormous retail results, surpassing budget by a significant amount since December of last year.

  • December – $163,523 in sales against a budget of $84,800 (this was a record month and was done with limited staff due to staff annual leave).
  • February – saw the budget surpassed by over $45,000.

While I was on annual leave during February, Ashleigh stepped up and went above and beyond for Members and helped run the operation. Ashleigh took all challenges in her stride and helped cover me with my travel troubles.
