The Members’ Working Group is a group of Members who volunteer their time to assist the Golf Course Maintenance (GCM) team with various tasks on and around the golf courses.
In the coming week, the GCM team would greatly appreciate extended assistance with the following tasks:
Outside of the above schedule, the Members’ Working Group meets fortnightly on Tuesdays, and we invite any Members interested in helping to contact Gary Simmons.
Congratulations to Peter Joel Roots on winning the 2023 Men’s Pines Cup. Peter shot an amazing 67 nett in very difficult conditions.
Congratulations to Audy White on winning the 2023 Ladies’ Pines Cup. Audy took the title with a great score of 70 nett on a countback from Marcelle Chapman.

Congratulations to Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club Member Mike Graham on his hole in one on the 6th hole of The Palms golf course on Saturday 22 April 2023. Mike made an ace with the pin tucked in the far-right hand side of the green. Well done Mike.

Members’ Active Putting Practice Clinic with PGA Professional Michael JonesMichael Jones is holding a Members’ Active Putting Session on Tuesday 16 May 2023. This clinic is a specific putting practice session and will combine technique and practical application. With the help of putting aids, Members will receive accurate feedback on strengths vs weaknesses with their own putting skills. Remember, putting makes up 30% of your score, making it as important as your range practice.

In June 2023, the Club is holding a First Aid and CPR refresher course that is open to Members with two options available:
CPR Refresher
Those who completed their First Aid course through the Club in 2021 and 2022 can renew their CPR certification during a two-hour face-to-face course. Note that the CPR component is valid for one year only.

Price: $68 per person including a tea, coffee, and light morning tea
Provide First Aid
Provide First Aid participants with the skills and knowledge to administer first aid, basic life support and CPR in an emergency, during a five-and-half-hour session. The full first aid certificate is valid for three years (noting that the CRP component needs to be completed each year).

The Country Club will be open 5am – noon on Labour Day, Monday 1 May 2023. There will be no group fitness classes held on this day.
Lakeview Bar will be open for breakfast this Sunday 30 April 2023. All Members and their guests will receive a complimentary coffee with any meal purchased from the Lakeview Bar breakfast menu on this day. Reservations are strongly recommended and can be made by contacting Lakeview Bar on 07 5699 9000.
The Club is seeking expressions of interest from Members who are interested in representing the Club in GCDGA Interclub Pennants.
The season begins on 18 June 2023 and will finish on 30 July 2023.

Members are reminded that parking is not permitted under the porte-cochère at the Clubhouse main entrance unless in an allocated parking space.
Golf buggy parking is available in front of the golf shop and in the designated Clubhouse entrance cart park.
Your cooperation and understanding of these guidelines are appreciated, so as to not jeopardise the Club’s ability to accommodate emergencies such as fire and ambulance arrivals.

The weekly Members’ Sunday Night Roast is held on Sunday evenings from 5:30pm.
The roast is $35 per person and includes a soup, a selection of traditional roast meats and vegetables and dessert.
Places are strictly limited, to avoid disappointment please book by phoning 07 5699 9000.
The Weekly Members’ Draw will be drawn at 6:30pm. The Member drawn in the last Members’ Draw was Mr Ron O’Connor. Mr O’Connor was not present, therefore the amount has jackpotted to $1,200 Club Credit with one chance to win.
