Update on the Golf Courses
The Golf Course Maintenance team completed the following works this week:
- Aeration of The Pines greens with 6mm solid tines to provide more oxygen to the root zone and improve the overall health of the plant
- Completion of the herb garden on the southern side of the Clubhouse
- Herbicide application to The Pines practice putting greens and The Palms 10th green to control Poa Annua
- Completion of post installation for tee signage on The Pines
- Establishment of a tree nursery at the previous dump site behind The Pines 10th green
- Foliar fertiliser application to The Palms tees, green aprons and fairways
- Detail trim of The Palms bunkers
- Irrigation mainline repair on The Palms 10th hole in the garden approaching the tees
- Commencement of removal of tree roots encroaching into the green aprons on The Palms
- Our horticulturist Steve White built a fully functional herb garden on the southern end of the Clubhouse (image on the left below). Once established, the garden will help to provide fresh herbs for head chef Ben James and his kitchen team. Thank you to Steve who continues to produce fantastic work around the Clubhouse and on the golf courses.
In the coming week the team will:
- Foliar fertilise The Pines tees, green aprons and fairways
- Trim irrigation heads on The Pines
- Lightly dust The Pines greens
