Update on the Golf Courses

The Golf Course Maintenance (GCM) team addressed the following areas this week:

  • A verti-cut was done on the greens on both courses
  • The Palms greens were aerated using 6mm solid needle tines
  • The Palms bunker edges and surrounds were detail trimmed
  • The Pines tees, green aprons and fairways were foliar fertilised
  • The concrete contractor continued with the installation of the concrete pads for the course furniture on both courses
  • The GCM staff continued the installation of the tee sign posts on The Palms
  • Herbicide application commenced on The Pines bunker surrounds to control flatweeds
  • The Palms greenside sprinklers were trimmed
  • The irrigation valve box lids on The Pines were trimmed

Next week the team will:

  • Edge cart paths on The Palms
  • Apply an herbicide on selective fairways on The Pines to control kikuyu
  • Detail trim The Pines bunkers
  • Continue garden works on the left side of The Palms 8th hole, transplanting palm trees and mulching
  • Trim sprinkler heads on The Palms
  • Continue works on the concrete pads and tee sign posts
