Update on the Golf Courses
This week the Golf Course Maintenance team completed the following:
- Verti-cutting on greens on both courses
- Insecticide application to selective areas on The Pines fairways to control insect larvae activity
- Miticide application on bunker surrounds on The Palms to control mites
- Herbicide application on The Pines rough to control flatweeds
- Sprinkler head trimming on The Palms
- The Palms 8th hole garden mulching; the Members’ Working Group kindly assisted with the transport of mulch to the site
- A Member Engagement Session demonstrating turf maintenance and cultural practices was held on The Pines practice putting green, which involved verti-cutting, solid needle tine aeration and light dusting
- Continued work with the tee-sign-post installation on The Palms
- Herbicide application to control weeds in The Palms bunkers
- Mowing of rough on The Palms
Next week the team plans to:
- Lightly dust The Pines greens and apply amendment
- Trim irrigation head sprinklers on The Pines
- Foliar fertilise The Palms tees, green aprons and fairways
- Plant shrubs in The Palms 8th hole garden
- Apply herbicide to The Pines green aprons
