The 2024 Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club Easter Tournament commenced on Friday 29 March with the Walker Cup held on The Pines golf course.
Participants competed in the 4-Person Ambrose which was first played on Good Friday in 1990 and initiated by Mr Keith Walker and his friends. This iconic annual tradition continues to be one of the most anticipated events on the golfing calendar. This year, 144 Sanctuary Cove golfers participated in the event, competing to add their names to the Walker Cup winner’s board.
Congratulations to the 2024 winners: Paul Smerdon, Jason Gibson, Shannon and Felicity Moore with a score of 58.
On Monday 1 April, over 80 Members and their guests gathered for the Jabiru Cup on The Pines golf course. The Jabiru Cup involves a random draw with four Members selected and the best three scores are counted on the day. The winning team was Adam Stuart, Mark Golding, Rachel Terrans, Jewel Lin with a score of 110 points. Marshall Leigh shot a superb 38 points to win the men’s single stableford, and Jewel Lin had an excellent score of 41 points to win the ladies’ stableford event.
Easter Monday was a perfect end to the 2024 Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club Easter Tournament. Thank you to all those who participated in the events, we look forward to seeing you again next year.
