On The Palms golf course, members will have the opportunity to play the same course the champions played during the final round of the Australian WPGA Championship. All tees and pin positions will remain unchanged, and the golf course will be officially rated by GA for handicap purposes.
The Palms golf course: 2026 WPGA Australian Championship Course Layout
To help members prepare, please see the outlined key updates to the 2026 course layout below.
6th hole
A new tee has been constructed; however, the hole will continue to play at the same length as in 2025, 139m / 152y.
7th hole
With the new tee complex now in place on the par 3 6th hole, we are able to utilise the men’s teeing area for the 7th hole. This adjustment allows the hole to shift from a par 4 to a par 5, now playing 450m / 492y.
11th hole
A newly built tee introduces a slightly different angle of play while maintaining a similar overall length to the 2025 setup.
18th hole
This hole has undergone the most significant change. While it has been converted to a short par 4 for members, the championship will see it played as a par 5 to ensure balance across the back nine.
Last year’s tee placement has now become unsuitable due to the earthworks, which require a lengthy carry. Playing from the next tee forward straightens the line, reduces the water carry, and still delivers a strong finishing hole at 420m / 459y.
This is a rare and exciting opportunity for members to test themselves on the same championship setup played by the WPGA professionals, and is exclusive to Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club members.
