After an extended period of rain, the sun has at last made a steady appearance. Over the past week, the maintenance team has been busy tackling a range of landscaping tasks around The Palms golf course.
As part of the ongoing storm clean-up, we’ve been using the Ventrac stump grinder to clear away remaining tree stumps. This work will continue over the coming weeks as we strive to restore the course to our usual high standard. Meanwhile, our other Ventrac unit has been active on The Pines golf course, working through the pine straw beds. The wet conditions have made this quite an interesting task – less dust is being raised, and the Ventrac’s traction has allowed us to keep going despite the saturated ground.
Both golf courses are slowly drying out. This week, we were finally able to mow the fairways for the first time in two weeks. Rough mowing on The Palms golf course is expected to start next week, weather permitting.
