It is with great pleasure that we confirm Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club will host the return of the Australian WPGA Championship in 2026, to be held on The Palms golf course from Thursday 19 March to Sunday 22 March, in partnership with the WPGA Tour of Australasia, PGA of Australia, Mulpha Australia, Tourism and Events Queensland, and Experience Gold Coast.
After the shared disappointment of the 2025 event cancellation due to ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred, we look forward to once again preparing for and hosting this prestigious tournament, which is now staged as a standalone event.
The Championship, which forms part of the Ladies’ European Tour, will bring some of the world’s leading female golfers to our region and will also serve as a key feature of the Gold Coast Festival of Golf – a broader celebration of golf and lifestyle, delivered in collaboration with Mulpha and event partners.
With members as our priority, we are committed to ensuring your experience at the Club remains uninterrupted and enjoyable both in the lead-up to and during the tournament. We are working closely with event partners to finalise preparations and will continue to keep members informed as the tournament approaches.

Safety: The safety of members, competitors, and spectators is paramount. Robust safety, traffic, and animal management plans will be implemented by all stakeholders.
We trust you share our enthusiasm in hosting the 2026 Australian WPGA Championship and look forward to welcoming back players, members, and the broader community for another exciting chapter in our Club’s history.
