Message from our Golf Course Superintendent

Cameron Smith, Golf Course Superintendent

This week, the maintenance team completed a range of tasks across both courses, including needle-tining The Palms golf course greens, and verti-cutting The Pines golf course putting greens, practice hole 3, and the nursery green. Granular fertiliser was applied to The Pines golf course tees, and fungicide was applied to greens on both golf courses. Bunker sand depths were also checked on The Pines golf course.

Due to the small amount of rain that fell on Monday morning, the planned rock wall work on the 13th hole of The Pines golf course was postponed to a date to be confirmed. The scheduled storm debris clean-up by tree contractors was also delayed. Next week, the tree contractors are due to begin vegetation removal on The Palms golf course, and the storm debris clean-up on The Pines golf course is scheduled for 28 July.

A reminder to all players: an extremely concerning number of unrepaired divots and ball marks have been observed on both golf courses. All members are encouraged to make an extra effort over the coming weeks to assist in protecting the condition and presentation of our golf courses.
