On Thursday 14 August, 46 ladies took to The Pines golf course for 36 holes of alternate shot play in the 2025 Ladies’ Foursomes Championship.
It was a beautiful winter’s day, with all competitors chasing the pairing of Audy White and Jessica Wang, who had claimed the title for the past four years. Audy and Jessica posted a superb opening round of 8-over-par 80 gross, giving them a six-stroke lead over Biv Gilson and Chohee Park, who recorded an 86 off the stick.
Sue Matheson and Elisabeth Fancutt led the round one nett with a score of 73, closely followed by several teams within just a couple of strokes.
In round two, Audy and Jessica maintained their consistency, shooting an 83 gross for a total of 163, defeating Biv and Chohee by nine strokes to secure their fifth consecutive Ladies’ Foursomes Championship title.
Congratulations to our 36-hole nett winners, Imera Astell and Tracey Hodson, who posted an impressive 146 nett to win by three shots from runners-up Agnes Bowyer and Yvette Turner.
A big thank you to all players for their participation and sportsmanship throughout the day. Your commitment to the event and the spirit in which you played were a credit to the Club.
