2025 Member Survey Results

We are pleased to share the results of the 2025 Member Survey. The last survey was undertaken in 2022, and once again it has provided valuable insight into how we are performing, what members value most, and the areas where further improvement is required.

This year’s participation rate was excellent, with 45% of eligible equity members responding (446 members in total). This strong level of engagement ensures the results are representative and meaningful. We would like to thank all members who contributed their feedback, and also acknowledge Jeff Blunden and Golf Business Advisory Services for their independent and professional management of the process. Jeff has provided a summative cover letter outlining the survey’s key takeaways.

Results and Progress since 2022

The survey results demonstrate that the Club is in a strong position, continuing on an upward trajectory:

  • Overall satisfaction has risen to 8.0, up from 7.7 in 2022 and above the industry benchmark.
  • Newer members are particularly satisfied, scoring 8.3, showing that recent initiatives are resonating with those who have joined us in recent years.
  • Only 10% of members rated their overall satisfaction below 7, which is well down from 18% in 2022. This compares favourably to the industry average of 14%.
  • Member satisfaction with The Pines golf course (8.4) and Practice Facilities (8.3) were rated especially highly, both above national benchmarks. The Palms golf course was just behind rated at 8.1.
  • Member camaraderie, inclusiveness, and Club culture remain strong drivers of overall satisfaction.

These results reflect not only the Club’s world-class courses and facilities, but also the special community that our members contribute to every day.

Opportunities for Improvement

While the results are positive, members have also identified clear opportunities to enhance the Club experience. The most common areas for improvement include:

  • Upgrading cart paths on both courses,
  • Improving bunkers and sand on the The Pines golf course,
  • Improving car parking capacity and access,
  • Expanding menu variety and hospitality service hours, and
  • Reinforcing course care standards and etiquette expectations for both members and guests.

This feedback will directly influence our 2026 budget and future capital works plan.

The survey also included questions relating to potential fee increases and capital levies. These questions were not intended as an indication that such changes are proposed for 2026, but rather to understand member sentiment. The response was clear, with members indicating these measures are not supported. This feedback will be an important consideration in the 2026 budget process and will also be noted in our long-term planning as we work to define a sustainable model that maintains Club standards while meeting future capital expenditure requirements.

Importance of the Survey Matters

The survey is not simply a satisfaction check, it is an invaluable tool that guides the Board’s strategic planning and ensures decisions reflect member priorities. Your input directly informs how we allocate resources, where we focus investments, and how we sustain the long-term success of the Club.

A summary of the 2025 Member Survey results has been provided, while the full report is available for viewing at Member Services. The full report has not been distributed more widely, as the detailed findings are best considered alongside the professional analysis and benchmarking provided by Golf Business Advisory Services. At the same time, the insights drawn from this survey and the collective views of our members are a key element of the Club’s competitive advantage, helping us to stay ahead in the marketplace and shape a clear vision for the future.

Looking Ahead

We are greatly encouraged by these results. They affirm that Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club is delivering an experience that is both highly valued and industry-leading, while also pointing clearly to the areas we must focus on next.

Thank you once again for your participation, your honest feedback, and your ongoing support. Together we are ensuring that the Club continues to thrive today, while also setting a clear vision for the future.
