With another successful week coming to a close, the maintenance team has taken the opportunity to lower all fairway heights to 10mm. This adjustment assists in removing any remaining winter leaf growth, encourages fresh new growth, and tightens the turf surface. Over the coming week, a circle cut will commence on The Pines golf course to further refine the fairway surfaces and enhance both ball lie and roll. Following last week’s granular fertiliser application, a growth regulator has also been applied to maintain consistent growth and promote lateral turf development. As preparations begin for the upcoming renovations on The Palms golf course, members can expect a program similar to last year’s. However, with the valuable learnings gained, the team anticipates a faster turf recovery, particularly on the greens, allowing a return to the Club’s high standards more quickly.
