The maintenance team is preparing for the annual golf course renovations on The Palms golf course, commencing next week. The upcoming three-week course closure will be an extremely busy period, with several major projects scheduled to take place. These include the construction of the new hole 16 and 17 tee complexes as part of the Course Enhancement Plan, extensive vegetation removal on hole 17, and the installation of a sandstone rock wall surrounding the new tees. Additional works will include concrete grinding across the entire The Palms golf course cart path network, targeted concrete replacements, and the installation of new concrete kerbing and an additional cart turning circle on hole 3. The hole 3 area will also undergo landscape enhancements, featuring the planting of palm trees and native grasses. While these works are underway, the team remains focused on preparing the course for the Club Championship Finals this week, with attention soon turning to conditioning the course for the Shootout event in two weeks’ time. |
