It has been a productive week as we completed the final tasks on The Palms golf course, including the application of a granular fertiliser across all surfaces. Strong results are expected over the next two weeks as we head into Christmas. The team also took the opportunity to needle-tine the greens on The Pines golf course to relieve compaction and provide a much-needed breather after months of presenting the course in excellent condition. This light aeration supported a fungicide application targeting the persistent fairy ring on The Pines golf course. The green rings have been particularly stubborn, but with this treatment and the upcoming renovation in less than four weeks, several key processes are underway to manage the only real blemishes currently on the course. Some members may have noticed recent vandalism on the 15th green on The Pines golf course, caused by electric motorbikes entering the site and performing long burnouts. Fortunately, most of the damage is superficial, but it will still require some care to encourage a quick recovery. |
