With Monday’s warm conditions accelerating recovery, renovation works on The Pines golf course have progressed significantly. Greens are now being mowed at 3mm, with early signs of a positive response from the fertility program. While the golf course remains closed, we also took the opportunity to broadacre spray the rough, which has already shown excellent results, and this program will continue throughout the remainder of summer.

The Palms golf course has responded very well to the fertiliser application completed two weeks ago, and we are now in full preparation mode for the upcoming Australian WPGA Championship.

This week, the maintenance team completed the following:

  • Applied foliar fertiliser and herbicide to The Palms golf course tees, aprons, and fairways
  • Applied fungicide to The Palms golf course greens
  • Supported the volunteer group spreading mulch throughout The Palms golf course gardens

The Pines golf course renovations:

  • Renovated the range tee on the Clubhouse end
  • Mowed the fairways and aprons down to 6mm
  • Mowed the tees down to 7mm
  • Mowed the greens down to 3mm
  • Top‑dressed the fairways and aprons
  • Scarified the step cut around the fairways
  • Completed mowing of the rough
  • Completed herbicide application in the rough
  • Completed bunker edge trimming and detailing

Next week, the following will be addressed:

  • Apply gypsum and granular fertiliser to The Pines golf course fairways
  • Apply fertiliser to The Pines golf course tees
  • Complete irrigation trimming on The Palms golf course
  • Complete edging and detailing of the cart paths on The Palms golf course
  • Re‑turf bare areas on The Palms golf course fairways
