Women’s Opening Day 2026 Overview

The 2026 women’s golfing season teed off in style on Thursday 15 January on The Palms golf course, where members enjoyed a fantastic day of golf playing a popular twist on the Florida Ambrose format.

Following play, the women indulged in a beautiful lunch in The Jabiru Restaurant, before presentations announced the day’s winners.

Division 1 winners – Congratulations to Sue Matheson, Diane Debnam, Lisa Hanna, and Silvana Phillips with a score of 56.125.

Division 2 winners – Congratulations to Jen Jenkinson, Julie Whitbread, Caz Game, and Vicki Mobsby with a score of 55.625.

Special mention to PGA Associate Drew Herbert, who raised $910.50 on course for the Women’s Cancer Support Group.
