The recent Members’ Golf Tour to Peninsula Kingswood Country Golf Club in Melbourne was a great success. Over three memorable days, 22 members enjoyed championship golf across the celebrated Sandbelt landscape, complemented by exceptional facilities, refined dining, and the warm hospitality for which Peninsula Kingswood is renowned.
Day 1 commenced on the revered North Course, which presented in immaculate condition. The firm, fast surfaces, tilted greens, and expansive bunkering demanded thoughtful strategy and precise execution. Despite the challenge, several members produced impressive results. Brett Morgan‑Evens secured the opening round with 39 Stableford points, followed by Margie Hay on 37 points, and David Francis on 35 points.
Day 2 saw members take on the South Course, a contrasting experience with its broader vistas, creek lines, and striking dry stone walls. Calm weather contributed to excellent scoring, and the beautifully presented layout rewarded strategic play from the tee. Kurt White claimed victory with 40 points, narrowly ahead of Chris Lynam on 39 points, with Lynn Bain also recording 39 points on a countback.
Day 3 returned members to the North Course for the concluding round. The course again provided a superb test of skill and patience, with its intricate green complexes and subtle contours demanding accuracy throughout. Brett Morgan‑Evens delivered another strong performance, winning the round with 37 points. He was closely followed by Kurt White and David Francis, who both finished on 33 points.
With consistent scoring across all three rounds on two demanding golf courses, Brett Morgan‑Evens was crowned the overall champion of the 2026 PK Members’ Golf Tour, an exceptional and well‑deserved achievement.
