The Palms golf course: 2026 WPGA Championship Course Set-Up

Following the final day of the WPGA, members will have the opportunity to play The Palms golf course in its championship configuration, exactly as the professionals will experience it during tournament week. To help you prepare, we have outlined the key updates to the 2026 course layout below.

6th hole:
A new tee has been constructed; however, the hole will continue to play at the same length as in 2025. [Please insert the 2025 length].

7th hole:
With the new tee complex now in place on the par 3 6th hole, we are able to utilise the men’s teeing area for the 7th hole. This adjustment allows the hole to shift from a par 4 to a par 5, now playing 450m / 492y.

11th hole:
A newly built tee introduces a slightly different angle of play while maintaining a similar overall length to the 2025 set-up.

18th hole:
This hole has undergone the most significant change. While it has been converted to a short par 4 for members, the championship will see it played as a par 5 to ensure balance across the back nine.

[UNSURE IF WE NEED THIS]
The original par 5 tees remain; however, the newly constructed penalty area down the left makes the 2025 tee less suitable due to the required carry. Playing from the next tee forward straightens the line, reduces the water carry, and still delivers a strong finishing hole at 420m / 459y, particularly given it plays predominantly into the wind.

Straightest-drive challenge:
Taking place from the new tee complexes, the straightest-drive challenge will be contested in separate men’s and women’s competitions.
