The Palms golf course is showing excellent progress as we build toward the Australian WPGA Championship, now just five weeks away. All playing surfaces are trending in the right direction and approaching peak condition. Our focus has shifted to detailed course work to ensure final preparations are as seamless as possible ahead of the event.

The Pines golf course is recovering as expected, with greens now being mowed daily to support healthy growth and presentation. Fairways, tees, and surrounds have all received fertiliser in anticipation of the forecast rain this weekend. Both golf courses are expected to respond very well to the much-needed fresh water, which we have not seen for some time.

This week, the maintenance team completed the following:

  • Foliar fertilised the tees, aprons, and fairways on The Palms golf course, including the driving range fairway and tee on The Pines golf course
  • Applied wetting agent and insecticide to the fairways on The Pines golf course and watered them in
  • Verti‑cut and dusted the greens on The Palms golf course
  • Granular fertilised the tees and aprons on The Pines golf course
  • Applied fungicide, insecticide, and wetting agent to the greens on The Pines golf course
  • Circle cut the fairways on The Pines golf course at 9mm
  • Granular fertilised the fairways and the Clubhouse end of the range tee on The Pines golf course
  • Continued applying gypsum to the fairways on The Pines golf course
  • Continued trimming irrigation sprinkler heads on both golf courses
  • Renovated the Clubhouse entrance lawns
  • Mowed the rough on The Palms golf course. A special thanks goes to Paul Smerdon and Gary Simmons for their assistance
  • Commenced mowing the rough on The Pines golf course
  • Double cut the step cut on The Pines golf course at 20mm
