Golf Fit Physio Information Session

On Wednesday 20 May 2026, members are invited to attend an information session focused on golf‑specific physical conditioning, mobility, and injury prevention, designed to support long‑term performance and enjoyment of the game.

The session will be led by Josh Sedgewick, an accredited physiotherapist specialising in golf‑related injuries and performance, and a certified Golf Fitness Professional. Josh works with golfers of all levels, from social players through to high‑performance athletes, and combines physiotherapy expertise with functional golf movement analysis.

Running for approximately 90 minutes, this practical and informative session will explore common physical challenges faced by golfers and provide clear, practical guidance on how to improve movement, reduce pain, and prevent injury. Demonstrations and explanations will be tailored specifically to the demands of the golf swing.

Key topics covered will include common golf injuries and how to prevent them, with a focus on lower back pain, shoulder and elbow issues, and hip mobility limitations, as well as golf‑specific mobility and strength essentials required for a consistent and powerful swing. Josh will also explain the role of golf movement screening, including how identifying physical limitations can improve swing efficiency and overall performance.

The session will also address injury management and rehabilitation pathways, helping members understand when assessment is recommended and how physiotherapy can support a safe return to play.

A live question and answer session will follow, providing members with the opportunity to ask questions relating to individual aches, pains, or performance goals.
