What a week. A phenomenal effort by the maintenance team.

We are extremely proud of how the golf course presented for the 2026 Australian WPGA Championship, both on TV and in person. It showcased the hard work and attention to detail the team has invested, and we could not have asked for a better winner to conclude the week. The surfaces produced were of a standard we can all be proud of, and it is a credit to everyone involved.

With the recent tournament wrapped up, the focus now shifts to preparing The Pines golf course for the upcoming Easter Tournament, while also ensuring the team receives some well-earned time off where possible.

Key priorities include commencing the mulching of pine cones using the Ventrac, and implementing our winter fertility program, pre-emergent applications, and winter disease management strategies.

This week, the maintenance team completed the following:

  • Carried out detailed bunker trimming works on The Pines golf course
  • Applied foliar fertiliser to the tees, aprons, and fairways on The Pines golf course
  • Mowed the rough on The Pines golf course
  • Completed clean-up works behind the 2nd green on The Pines golf course at the Caseys Road gate
  • Undertook turf works on the 4th hole on The Pines golf course
  • Trimmed irrigation valve lids on The Pines golf course
  • Cut and fertilised the new nursery green on The Palms golf course

Next week, the following will be addressed:

  • Mowing of the rough on The Palms golf course

  • Application of foliar fertiliser to the tees, aprons, and fairways on The Palms golf course

  • Trimming of irrigation infrastructure on The Palms golf course

  • Application of disease control and prevention products to the greens on The Palms and The Pines golf course
