Update on the Golf Courses
The Golf Course Maintenance (GCM) team addressed the following areas this week:
- A verti-cut was done on the greens on both courses
- The Palms greens were aerated using 6mm solid needle tines
- The Palms bunker edges and surrounds were detail trimmed
- The Pines tees, green aprons and fairways were foliar fertilised
- The concrete contractor continued with the installation of the concrete pads for the course furniture on both courses
- The GCM staff continued the installation of the tee sign posts on The Palms
- Herbicide application commenced on The Pines bunker surrounds to control flatweeds
- The Palms greenside sprinklers were trimmed
- The irrigation valve box lids on The Pines were trimmed
Next week the team will:
- Edge cart paths on The Palms
- Apply an herbicide on selective fairways on The Pines to control kikuyu
- Detail trim The Pines bunkers
- Continue garden works on the left side of The Palms 8th hole, transplanting palm trees and mulching
- Trim sprinkler heads on The Palms
- Continue works on the concrete pads and tee sign posts
