Update on the Golf Courses

This week the Golf Course Maintenance team completed the following:

  • Detail trimming of The Pines bunkers
  • Cart path edging on both courses
  • Herbicide application on The Pines fairways to control kikuyu and Queensland blue couch
  • Backfilling around concrete pads and installation of new course furniture on The Pines
  • 6mm solid needle tine aeration on The Pines greens on holes 5, 9 and 15
  • Herbicide application to control poa annua in The Pines practice putting greens and The Palms 10th green
  • Sprinkler head trimming on The Palms fairways and tees
  • Contractors Kings Landscape transplanted 5 palm trees from various locations on The Palms course to the garden area on the left side of The Palms 8th hole
  • The foundation in The Pines 18th hole lake has been removed due to an electrical fault, which is in the process of being repaired
  • The Members’ Working Group replaced plants in the Sanctuary Cove hedge sign and mulched the signage area
  • Concrete pad installation for course furniture on the tees of The Pines 3 practice holes

Next week the team plans to:

  • Verti-cut greens on both courses
  • Apply amendments to The Pines greens
  • Continue garden works on The Palms 8th hole
  • Apply herbicide to The Pines greens aprons
  • Continue works on the concrete pads and sign posts on The Palms
