Sanctuary Cove Water Review

The Club has been working closely with The Primary Thoroughfare Body Corporate (PTBC) of Sanctuary Cove in reviewing all matters relating to water management at the resort. After a lengthy process to build an appropriate scope of works, the PTBC has engaged Engeny Water Management to complete a resort-wide analysis. Engeny is a specialist environmental and engineering consultancy firm providing water management and infrastructure design services.

The first stage of the project includes the review of existing data, identification of opportunities, and constraints for improvement opportunities for how water is managed on the site.

Some key items that will be established for us will include:

  • Erosion management and establishment of a plan for the future
  • Improve stormwater harvesting to reduce cost for all stakeholders for water purchases from City of Gold Coast
  • Silt trap and review of current levels in lakes
  • Environmental Management Plan

The initial assessment will be summarised and assessed with stakeholders, involving prioritisation, cost benefit, return on investment, and risk-based approach, after which the next stage of the project will be addressed and considered for implementation.

Further details will be shared when stage 1 is completed and reviewed.
