Update on the Golf Courses

Despite rainfall of 42.5mm from Monday to Thursday this week, the Golf Course Maintenance (GCM) team addressed the following:

  • Verti-cut The Pines greens
  • Applied amendments and light dusting to The Pines greens
  • Replaced of the distance plates in The Pines fairways
  • Light dusting of The Palms greens
  • Detail trimmed The Palms bunkers
  • Applied foliar fertiliser to The Palms tees, green aprons and fairways
  • Trimmed The Palms greenside and tee sprinklers
  • Mowed The Palms rough
  • The Members’ Working Group assisted the team by removing palm fronds from along fences and gardens on the left side of The Palms 9th hole; the fronds were then mulched by GCM staff
  • Replaced a faulty signal wire to a sprinkler on The Pines 5th hole

Next week the team plans to:

  • Prepare The Palms course for the PGA Scramble Australian Final
  • Foliar fertilise The Pines tees, green aprons and fairways
  • Detail trim The Pines bunkers
  • Trim sprinkler heads on The Pines
  • Trim lake edges on The Pines
  • Mow The Pines rough
