It has been a productive week across both golf courses, with favourable weather expected to continue in the coming weeks. Herbicide applications have commenced on all short-cut areas, targeting germinated Poa and continuing the eradication programme for Mullumbimby couch. Bunker edging on The Pines golf course has been completed, and work will recommence on topping up selected bunkers to improve sand depth in the bases and faces where required. The couch grass is also beginning to emerge from winter dormancy, and more frequent mowing practices will be introduced across the property.

Works are progressing well on holes 3 and 10 of The Palms golf course. On hole 3, all turf has established strongly, with only minor works remaining before reopening, including concrete path replacement and landscape plantings. On hole 10, the new bunkers have now been roughed in, and the shape of the golf hole is beginning to emerge, with irrigation scheduled to commence in the coming weeks.

This week, the maintenance team completed the following:

Needle tine aeration was performed on the greens of The Pines golf course.
The bunkers on The Pines golf course were trimmed and detailed.
The garden revamp at the Clubhouse entrance was completed, including planting native trees and grasses, rock mulching, repairing lighting, and installing drip irrigation.
A herbicide application commenced on the fairways and green aprons of The Palms golf course to control Mullumbimby couch.
Spot spraying of Mullumbimby couch in the greens of both courses was undertaken with a selective herbicide.
Weeds in the Clubhouse and The Pines golf course gardens were treated with a non-selective herbicide.
Minor washouts caused by heavy rainfall last Thursday were repaired along the rock wall on the 3rd hole of The Palms golf course.
The newly turfed section of the 3rd green on The Palms golf course was lightly topdressed.
The 3rd tee of The Palms golf course was mowed at 16mm.
A selective herbicide was applied to control weeds in the outer rough of The Pines golf course.

The herbicide application on The Palms golf course fairways and green aprons to control Mullumbimby couch is scheduled for completion.
A selective herbicide application is planned for The Pines golf course tee surrounds.
A pre-emergent herbicide application is scheduled for The Pines golf course fairways and green aprons.
Solid tine aeration is planned for The Palms golf course tees and selected areas of the fairways.
Verti-cutting is scheduled for The Pines golf course practice putting greens and practice hole greens.
The Palms golf course rough is scheduled for mowing.
Trimming and detail work are planned for the Clubhouse and The Pines golf course gardens.
