On Sunday 31 August, a beautiful winter’s day and an immaculate golf course greeted members for the 2025 Men’s Foursomes Championships.
The morning conditions were perfect, with the leaderboard tightly packed after the first round:
The best nett score for the morning was 70.5, recorded by Alan Corin and Allan Davidson.
As the wind picked up in the afternoon, the second round proved more challenging, with the following scores:
After a slow start to their second round, ten-time winners Troy Devine and Paul Smerdon produced an extraordinary run, recording six birdies in seven holes on the back nine to catapult themselves to the top of the leaderboard and claim their 11th Men’s Foursomes Championship – an exceptional achievement.
This year’s runners-up were Buddy Nagi and Ty Kostevski, while the winners of the nett (the fifth major) were Brett James and Alex Kowalczuk.
