NOTICE: Changes to your Golf Experience

From 2 October 2025, your Golf Australia (GA) Handicap transitioned to its new home on golf.com.au and the Official Golf Australia App.

These changes stemmed from Golf Australia undertaking a major digital transformation, including the retirement of the 25-year-old GOLF Link platform and the introduction of a new system called Golf Australia CONNECT. This platform delivered enhanced technology services to more than 1,900 golf clubs and venues, and to over 450,000 golf club members across Australia.

The New GA App

The Official Golf Australia App replaced the previous GA Handicap App. It retained the existing handicap lookup feature and introduced a range of new tools to enhance the golfer experience.

The mobile app became available via the Apple App Store and Google Play from Thursday 2 October 2025. Instructions on how to move from the old to the new app were provided to both clubs and golfers in the lead-up to the transition.

For golfers using apps through Licensed Software Providers (LSPs), such as MiClub and MiScore, these continued to function as usual.

New GA Website

A new website was launched to access your GA Handicap via Golf Australia and the PGA of Australia’s new site, GOLF.com.au, which went live on Thursday 2 October 2025. Through your account, you could view and track your handicap in a streamlined and highly functional new dashboard.

From Thursday 2 October 2025, golf.org.au automatically redirected to the new GOLF.com.au website.

At Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club, competitions have not been handicapped from Sunday 28 September through toMonday 6 October 2025. This has allowed MiClub time to fully integrate into the platform and restore handicapping functions. Between these dates, scorecards have not been submitted later due to the platform changeover.

Updated schedule during this period:

Date Schedule
Friday 3 October Men’s Competition (no handicapping)
Saturday 4 October Men’s and Ladies’ Competitions (no handicapping)
Sunday 5 October Social Sunday (no handicapping required)
Monday 6 October Optional Competition (no handicapping)
Tuesday 7 October All competitions will be handicapped from this date.

The Ladies’ Club Championships were rescheduled around these changes to GA CONNECT, with Round 1 to be played on Tuesday 7 October 2025 and Round 2 continuing on Thursday 9 October 2025.

As with any major technology transition, there were some initial steps for users – principally golf clubs and their members – to help facilitate the change. Golf Australia aimed to ensure these transitional steps were simple and kept to a minimum, while providing resources to assist clubs and golfers where required.

Golf Australia developed an online Golfer Information Guide to assist with the change, which could be accessed via their website.

This project was an important milestone for golf across Australia. Golf Australia expressed its excitement about the benefits that would flow to clubs, facilities, golfers, and fans.

At Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club, we carefully planned for the transition and, as with any change, acknowledged the need for adjustments while members became accustomed to the new system.

If you had any questions during the transition, members were asked to contact Ryan at ryang@scgcc.com.au or phone Member Services on 07 5699 9000.

Your understanding and patience during this period were greatly appreciated.
