After a highly successful three-week closure on The Palms golf course, the greens are now being mowed daily and are showing excellent recovery following the recent renovation works. Lessons learned from last year’s renovation have refined our processes and significantly accelerated recovery this time around. Cutting heights will begin to be reduced next week to bring them in line with those on The Pines golf course. Rolling the greens later in the day has also enhanced smoothness, which will support the gradual reduction in height and further improve overall quality. Fairways, tees, and surrounds on The Palms golf course are receiving their first mow this week, with fertility applications scheduled to resume next week. With The Pines golf course closed this week, the team also took the opportunity to apply a light sand topdressing following a light verticut. This process helps refine the current surface on the greens and stimulates fresh growth, ensuring strong, consistent playing conditions heading into the new year. |
