Golf Course Preparation Information Session: 2026 Australian WPGA Championship

You are invited to join us for an on‑course information session with Golf Course Superintendent, Cam Smith, and the Golf Course Maintenance team, focusing on the preparation and planning currently underway in the lead up to the 2026 Australian WPGA Championship.

This information session has been arranged to provide clarity on current course activity, outline tournament‑specific preparation, and to offer members the opportunity to ask questions in an open‑forum setting.

What will be discussed:

• An overview of the additional course preparation undertaken in the final month leading into the 2026 Australian WPGA Championship
• What members can expect in the lead up to, and during, the event period from a Golf Course Maintenance perspective
• Infrastructure build requirements, and the associated impacts on the golf courses during tournament preparation
• Key learnings from last year, and how those insights have shaped planning, preparation, and execution this year

Location: Members to meet on The Palms golf course putting green
The session will begin at the putting green on The Palms golf course, followed by a walk‑through of tournament hole 6 and the tee complexes for our current 16th and 17th holes. The group will then view tournament hole 11, concluding on tournament hole 18.
