The 2026 Sanctuary Cove Easter Weekend Overview

The 2026 Sanctuary Cove Easter Tournament once again brought our community together over the Easter weekend, with strong participation across both Good Friday for The Walker Cup and Easter Monday featuring the Jabiru Cup. Members competed for a place on the Honour Board while enjoying two days of competitive golf and Club hospitality, supported by a prize pool of more than $12,000.

We extend our thanks to all members and guests who took part, and to our sponsors for their continued support. We also acknowledge our long‑standing partners, FootJoy and Titleist, whose ongoing involvement remains an important part of the Easter Tournament.

The Walker Cup

Good Friday marked the opening of the Easter Tournament with The Walker Cup on The Pines golf course. Players enjoyed ideal autumn conditions as they contested this long‑standing event, first played in 1990 and established by Mr Keith Walker and his friends.

This year’s Walker Cup upheld the tradition of strong participation and enjoyable competition, reflecting the event’s enduring place in the Club’s history. Congratulations to this year’s winners, Jason Gibson, Shannon Moore, Felicity Moore, and Paul Smerdon, who recorded a score of 54.25 nett.

The Jabiru Cup

Easter Monday concluded the Easter Tournament with the Jabiru Cup, also played on The Pines golf course. Another fine autumn day set the scene for competitive golf followed by post‑round celebrations. The Jabiru Cup, played as an individual Stableford event with random team draws, continues to be a highlight of the Easter weekend. With the best three scores from each group of four contributing to the team result, the format encourages both individual performance and shared involvement. Congratulations to this year’s winners, Jessica Wang, Elizabeth Stanley-Hunt, Mark Van Den Berg, and Harry Noonan, who recorded a score of 108 points.

Easter Sunday Egg Hunt and Buffet Breakfast

The Club was pleased to host its annual Easter Egg Hunt and Buffet Breakfast on Easter Sunday, welcoming members and Sanctuary Cove residents for a morning of family connection and fun.

Children took to The Pines driving range for the much‑loved Easter Egg Hunt, collecting egg tokens and chocolate treats along the way. After the hunt, members and guests made their way to the Clubhouse for a relaxed buffet breakfast and a visit from the Easter Bunny.

With 212 attendees, this year saw our strongest turnout yet, a wonderful reflection of how cherished this tradition has become.

We hope all members and guests enjoyed the long weekend of festivities here at the Club and look forward to welcoming everyone back again next year.
